Have you ever been to a restaurant where you received unacceptable service? Perhaps the waiter
In contrast, our favorite places to go out to eat have both great service and great food. We

To God, acceptable service is service with loyal reverence to Him first, in sincerity, and truth,

was not especially friendly, saying one thing, doing another, hard hearted and rough. Perhaps
the waiter devoted all his time to another table, ignoring yours. It is unlikely you will return
to eat at that place again.
reasonably expect acceptable service. We pay for it!
It is service divvied between Him and some other false god. We cannot serve both God and mammon
at the same time. Serving God, while going through legalistic, or ritualistic, religious motions,
is unacceptable to Him. Man looks on the outside appearances, but God looks at the heart.
having grace, while each servant presents himself as a holy, living sacrifice. God reasonably expects
acceptable service from us. He paid for it with the blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ!
from having to eat at satan's miserable card table and gave us the keys to God's Great Banquet Hall,
in His Kingdom, where we will eat for all eternity. Becoming a living sacrifice for Him, devoting
our lives to Him, is reasonable and acceptable service.
