JESUS CHRIST:
The Foundation of Our Faith

     UNTO THESE WHO ARE LEAST

My husband and I are foster parents. Recently, we met another boy who is
looking for a loving home. "Chris" is a likable 15 year-old with quick
smiles. He wants a family. Can you provide a home for him?

It is hard to show love by taking in someone else's child, making him part
of your own family. As difficult as it seems, this is one way Jesus wants
us to demonstrate our love for HIM!

There are hundreds of teens, in every city, in the same situation as "Chris:"
rejected of men, without a permanent home. Some of these youth are
Christians! There would be no need for social services to beg the handful
of approved foster parents to take in more kids than they can handle, if
every able adult in the church did just this: Love and take one in.

     Matthew 25:35-40

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat:
I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a
stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and
ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee?
or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in?
or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and
came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them,
verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it
UNTO ONE of the least
[least in size, amount, least in
dignity,etc.]
of these my brethren, ye have done it unto ME.

The least referred to here are not least in God's eyes. God is not a
respector of persons. He loves every one the same. They are least in the
estimation of men. When we love the least of our brethren like Jesus
describes above, then we are doing the same thing to HIM! Let's prove our
love for Christ and take in "the least one of these our brethren," whether
they are poor, hungry, thirsty, naked, a prisoner or sick. Amen.

Will you take some one in? How about "Chris?"
