     WORD OF THE DAY: "GLAD"
Scripture reference: Psalm 119:74:
     "They that fear thee will be glad when they see me;
"Glad" is from the Hebrew word meaning:" to brighten up, i.e. (figuratively) be
I went to bed resentful and angry last night, even though I know not to let the sun
This morning, I felt like there was little to rejoice and be glad in. Imagine my surprise
Because God thinks there are a lot of things to rejoice and be glad in, once again, I will use

In conclusion, God has many things we can rejoice and be glad in: the day, in the Lord,

English words in the Old Testament:--cheer up, be (make) glad, (have, make) joy,
joyful, be (make) merry, (cause to, make to) rejoice.
go down upon my wrath. I had things to talk about and resolve. I felt hurt, betrayed
and used! The person with whom I was upset did not want to talk about it. He would not
listen and cut me off! He said," I don't want to get into it!" Then he rolled over and
went to sleep, ignoring the problem. I feel like he thought what I felt was of little
significance or did not matter! Not only did I feel used and betrayed, after he said
those cutting words, I felt very HURT and belittled also. He just did not want to HEAR
what I had to say. Therefore, I went to bed with everything unresolved, had trouble resting
and everything felt worse when I got up.
then, when God gave me the Word for the day: "GLAD." The Bible points to LOTS of
things to be glad about, even though when I began this study, I did not want to be glad,
nor did I feel like there was anything to be glad about! After having completed this
word study, I admit that I still feel the same way I did toward the person with whom I have
a "gripe." That is because it is still unresolved. But this time, that one thing will not ruin
an otherwise good day because I have plenty of other things to be glad about!!

in the righteous who love the Word, in God's mercy, in God's judgment, in believing, in the works
of God, in salvation, in sweetness of a friend's counsel, in a good word, and on and on...
Let us therefore be GLAD. There are plenty of things to focus on other than our problems
that try to steal our joy.
