GOD HEARS

During the tightness of the immediate trouble we face, sometimes, it seems like God is not responding to our pleas for help. Quite the contrary is true. God hears you and responds on the same day.

Psalm 20:1, 2, 6, 7

The LORD hear thee [eye, hear, heed, pay attention] in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; [set you on a high place] 2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

In the day of trouble, God hears you. Do we always see our deliverance on the first day of our trouble? No, of course not always. That's why we put our trust in God that He has heard us and He has a plan for our deliverance. Keep confessing the Word about your situation. God has heard and is moving heaven and earth to provide for you. (Read Psalm 18:6-22)

Joseph received revelation in the form of dreams from God about his future. God promised that not only would his older brothers give him obesiance, but also that the sun, moon and 11 stars would also. His older brothers got jealous and angry and planned to get rid of Joseph. They threw him into an animal pit and sold him into slavery.

When Joseph was in the pit, what do you think he thought about? Was he in despair and anguish? Maybe a little, maybe briefly but he did not languish in self pity nor bitterness. He would have cleaved to the promise and perhaps reminded God of it and trusted God would make it come to pass.

Joseph was not in the pit forever. Remember that God made him Pharaoh's right hand man and prospered Joseph wherever he went. This did not happen overnight. But God heard in the day Joseph was thrown into the pit. God heard when he was sold into slavery. God heard the day he was falsely accused. And he provided. He prospered and he delivered Joseph to the uttermost. God will do the same for you.

6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

When trouble hits and you need deliverance, remember the name of God and everything you can remember about what each attribute His name represents. When your promise seems to be far away, YOU CAN TRUST GOD HAS HEARD YOU AND WILL DELIVER YOU JUST AS HE DID FOR JOSEPH, JESUS CHRIST AND FOR COUNTLESS OTHER BELIEVERS. Amen.
