Our Foundation: Jesus Christ
It is not fun to be teased, mocked and take the brunt of unkind words. It is no fun, indeed. But when, because of Christ's sake, we are teased, attacked, have trouble, and feel weak, God strengthens us with grace and power. Just as one who is whole needs not a physician, one who has no obstacles to overcome does not need strength and power. Therefore, Paul wrote:
2 Corinthians 12: 9, 10 We are capable and strong not in our natural ability to withstand, but in Christ who strengthens us. The troubles and pressures will come. When they do come, God's grace kicks in for you, and His power is accomplished in you when you are weak. Unleash God's power. When you feel weak, are under attack, or are in distress, rest in God's grace. Let Him strengthen you. Remind yourself of His promise: "When I am weak, then am I strong." Most gladly, then, most gladly then, [not in bitter complaint, or murmuring and disputing or restless fear] let us glory in these problems when they come. When we suffer or endure pressure for Christ's sake, that is when God's power and grace goes to work on our behalf. Amen.
