Jesus Christ: Our Foundation LOVE IS GIVING   Love is a lot of things. Among other traits, love is kind. It is patient, it endures long, it is not easily provoked. (See I Corinthians 13). Love is also giving. It is written, God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son. God so loved He gave. It is also written, (1Jo 3:17) But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? We can so love and feel compassion for others, that we give also. One way to prove our love, to demonstrate our love and to test our love, is to WILLINGLY give from out of what we have. Not because it is a commandment of God, not because we HAVE to, but because we love. When we have more than enough and we give, that eases the burden off of our brothers who did not gather in quite enough. (2 Corinthians 8:13-15) Tomorrow, we will look at abounding in love, abounding in this grace of giving.      -Carol Kenreigh
