What love the Father has bestowed upon us!

 

Just imagine what it must take to love people who disrespect, disobey,
directly oppose, willfully snub and who bad mouth you over
and over and over, (not just for a day or two, but for years
before apologizing!)Do you love people who use you, hurt you,
disrespect you, rob you, hate you? I know I find that a very
hard thing to swallow, let alone do.

But God loved us so much that He wanted to give His only begotten
son for us, even when we were dead in sin and His enemies!

I was recently challenged to love my enemies! I find that a woeful
task! I just want to slap my enemies up side the head or ignore
them completely!

Yet God did not slap me. He did not abandon me. He loved me
so much he gave me His perfect, obedient Son's life, in exchange
for my imperfect, sinful one. That is unconditional love!
That is definitely a free gift that no one deserved by works.

 

Ephesians 2:5

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened
us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us
sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the
exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness
toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.

 

Praise God for His goodness and mercy and His great love! He loved us
so much that even when were were dead in our sins, and His enemies,
His son died for us so we could live. He made us alive and seated
us together in the heavenlies on the same level as His Son.

We did not earn this. We could not possibly have earned it. We
were enemies of God. We were dead in sin. He did this to show to
us the exceeding riches of HIS GRACE in HIS KINDNESS through
Christ!

You are beloved of God. Amen.
