JESUS CHRIST      Our Foundation      NOT ABANDONED        God is a merciful God who is slow to anger. He will never leave us. He will never      forsake us. He loves us. He nurtures us gently. He admonishes us in love. He      corrects and disciplines us with compassion and justice.      Although we did not deserve the riches of God's grace and love, He gave us      redemption and forgiveness anyway through His son, Jesus Christ.        Ephesians 1: 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness [pardon] of sins, according to the riches[wealth] of his grace.        How many times have my own children erred in judgment and disobeyed me?      Countless. Yet even though they forsake me and hearken not to my wisdom and      instruction, repeatedly at times, I still love them. I forgive them each and      every time they mess up. I will always love them no matter what.      God's love surpasses even this.        Nehemiah 9:31 Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them [destroy or get rid of them], nor forsake [relinquish] them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.        One translation says that God did not make an end to them nor abandon them because      God is merciful and full of grace.        I John 1: 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.        If you think you have sinned so greatly against God, against others or      against yourself, know this:      Your God, your tender, loving, Heavenly Father, will never abandon you.      He will never leave you, no matter what. Lift up your eyes and set your      affection on His great love, mercy and grace. Accept His love and forgiveness.      Forgive yourself and give yourself a measure of grace. Accept that He loves even      you, even after what you have done. Just ask for forgiveness and He will forgive      you. The blood of His Son, Jesus Christ shall cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness.      Amen.        -Carol Kenreigh
