     VOLUME 1, ISSUE 151                                                             MAY 1, 2002

     ADORE GOD

The phrases, "Blessed be God"and similar phrases such as "God
     who is blessed,"
occurs eight times in the New Testament. The word
     "blessed"
in these passages means "adored."

     Webster's Dictionary defines adore:

"to regard with the utmost esteem, love,
and respect; honor. To pay divine honor; worship."

We adore God because of what He has done. God has blessed us with all spiritual
blessings in Christ, He selected and redeemed us, He saved us, He fulfilled His
Word in us, He gave us mercy and comfort, He gave us hope and an incorruptible
inheritance that will not fade away in heaven). God be adored forever!
     (Romans 1:25; Romans 9:5; 2 Corinthians 11:31).

     Luke1: 68-75

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath
visited
[inspected, i.e. selected] and redeemed
[paid the ransom of] his people,

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for
us in the house of his servant David;

[and His Word is fulfilled and His promises are performed].

     2 Corinthians 1:3

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may
be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the
comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

     Ephesians 1:3

Blessed [adored] be the God and Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed
[spoken well
of, thanked us, invoked a benediction upon us,
prospered]
us with all spiritual [non-carnal]
blessings in heavenly places[above the sky, up
on high]
in Christ.

     1 Peter 1: 3-5

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath
begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection
of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and
that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith
unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

We praise and honor who we adore. We have much to be thankful for! Let's adore
God for all He has done for us in Christ. Let us hold Him in the highest esteem,
and honor, worship and praise Him. For it is God who has blessed us with all
spiritual blessings. It was God who selected us, redeemed us, and saved us. It
was God who gave us mercy that endures forever. God comforts us. It is God
who gave us the hope of the return of Christ and who promised us an inheritance
in Him. May we adore God now and forevermore. Amen.

REQUESTS

Please pray for my friend Penny. We almost lost her tonight.
I work with her as her CNA 1 and of all the patients that I have worked with, Penny is just sooooo precious -she enjoys the Word and our favorite song is "BECAUSE HE LIVES". At 9:00pm tonight Penny sat up and seems to know everyone. Please S.I.T. [speak in tongues] for Penny.
Thank you, your sister in Christ
CATHY
