JESUS CHRIST:
     The Foundation of Our Faith

     WALK BY THE SPIRIT

God has called us into freedom and liberty in Christ. He loved us freely and He wants
us to love each other and serve one another in love also. Let's look to God, love and
serve one another by walking in the spirit.

     Galatians 5:13

For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty [freedom];
only use not liberty for an occasion [starting point]to the
flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this;
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite [thwart] and devour one another, take heed
that ye be not consumed
[use up or destroy] one of another.

Recently, I found a small church. Several weeks ago, we did an Easter musical. There
was a flurry of activity going on opening night. The man who played Judas had misplaced
his costume right before the show! He was getting more troubled about it, as he frantically
looked for it. Without hesitation, I immediately prayed a loud, "God, show me where
his costume is in the name of Jesus Christ."

I put God on the spot, I suppose, in front of everybody. I believed He had to answer my
prayer! His Word was staked on it. Because I constantly teach and talk about the power of the
spoken word, that God answers believed prayer and all our needs are met, I felt if God did
not pull through on this first proclamation of faith then I would have not access to
minister as effectively in that church. So I knew He would answer!

Thankfully, God showed me where it was. Glory goes to His name! I started to walk
away from the others to go look for it and as I went, I just knew, in my spirit, (by word
of knowledge) that it was in the opposite corner by the sound board. I went to get it and
     there it was.

Had I been critical of the man instead and bitterly complained about his focus,
had I been harsh and judgmental and reproved him in front of every one, it would have
put a division in between us. It may have devoured him, thwarted him and used up his
willingness to play his important part in the musical! Also, the other young Christians present
would not have learned about walking in peace, walking in love and walking in the spirit.
They would not have seen, in demonstration, that God answers prayers of faith.

There are people observing us. What do they see? What fruit do we display? Are we
walking in the spirit, walking in love? Do we have the mind to serve one another?
Or are we biting and devouring one another with our tongues, through gossip, backbiting,
name calling, cruel teasing, and harsh criticism?

     Galatians 5:16

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not
fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the
Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the
one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that
ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the
law.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh
with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let's walk in love and serve one another. Let's by walk in the spirit. Amen.
