JESUS CHRIST:
     The Foundation of Our Faith

     HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH!

[Yesterday, Cathy (LucySunshine) described from Isaiah 53 the price Jesus Christ paid
for all of us. We saw all He bore on our behalf. Today, we will continue to look into
Isaiah 53 which reiterates that Jesus bore our sins and was afflicted for us. Also, in Jesus'
affliction and oppression, he did not open his mouth. He spoke no bitterness, no ill will and no
complaint, no matter what pain and agony he suffered. Jesus is our perfect example of when
     to tame the tongue.]

     Isaiah 53:7

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he
OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH: he is brought as
a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before
her shearers is dumb, so he OPENED NOT
          HIS MOUTH.

Look at Jesus Christ's example! "He opened not his mouth!"
He always did the Fathers will,
totally obedient, no complaints and no missing
the mark! What an example!!!!!

     [James 3: 2

For in many things we offend all. If any man
offend not in word, the same is a perfect man,
and able also to bridle the whole body.]

How many times have I opened my mouth and complained about the smallest thing!

     Isaiah 53:8

He was taken from prison and from judgment:
and who shall declare his generation? for he was
cut off out of the land of the living: for the
transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and
with the rich in his death; because he had done
no violence, neither was any deceit IN HIS MOUTH.

[The one man who had the right to open his mouth to defend himself (because he is innocent,
pure and righteous), was Jesus Christ. But, even in the face of false accusations, injustice,
wrongful conviction, torture, pain, agony, affliction, oppression, and bondage, HE OPENED
NOT HIS MOUTH. He chose to control his tongue. He chose to endure without comment,
endure without complaint, endure without resentment. What an example we have to follow!

Next time something happens to us, insignificant in comparison to what Jesus had to endure,
let's remember what Jesus did and follow His example.Let's not lash out at our oppressors
and accusers with our tongues either. Amen.]

     -Cathy, LucySunshine

[Next issue, we will conclude with part three of Cathy's teaching, when we will look at the
     cross Christ bore.

Editor's Note: I went ahead and will make Cathy's teaching three parts instead
of two parts as originally intended. (I need time to get straight on quotations from a book
source referenced in her original teaching.) My apologies to Cathy for adding
a verse and some comments to this issue, over what she originally wrote, in order to make
an easier page break leading up to the next issue. All Editor's additions are in brackets.]

COMMENTS

"I see your pain and struggles, I feel your hurt and woes,
I hear your silent cries, that no one really knows.
Yet, I am with you always, My faithfulness is great,
To carry all your burdens, bearing up their weight."

     "Hope in Him."
