JESUS CHRIST:
     The Foundation of Our Faith

     NO REJECTS! ONE IN CHRIST!

People put others into categories and label them according to the ever
changing societal heirarchy and status quo. What is acceptable today
may not be in fashion tomorrow. What is popular tomorrow may not be
in favor next year. Remember in the 1960's police were looked down at
as "pigs."Today, they are national heros.

Many of our perceived inadequacies and feelings of rejection are closely
tied to these ever changing standards. These standards are not God's
standards. Grouping and labeling people is not what God does with His
time. We do not need to see ourselves and compare ourselves with the
world's opinions. We are beloved in God's sight. We are worthy in Christ.

God does not sit up in heaven and gossip with Jesus about what Joe
wore to school, what Barb does for a living, nor does He judge people
for what their hobbies and interests are. He does not reject and tease
the serious students, the geeks, the boy scouts, the cheerleaders, the
popular kids, the goth kids, the sick , the elderly, or any one. He loves
each of us exactly the same. He does not put us into little boxes.
We are all one in Christ, regardless of our church affiliations, denomination,
     gender, race or culture.

     Galatians 3:28

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither
bond nor free, there is neither male nor female:
for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

What God sees is the Christ in you and the Christ in me. Let's do our utmost
to do the same for one another.

Could you imagine if Jesus rejected you for what you wore? It would be very
     unloving of Him to say,

"Sorry, that's a lame outfit, you can't get
born again. I don't want to be seen with you."

Or how about if God rejected us for taking life and our studies seriously?

"No, he's a geek. I want someone cool in My fellowship!"

     Ouch.

Good thing God looks after our heart and He sees our potential. He sees our end.
He sees the Christ in us.

     Jeremiah 29:11 Amplified

For I know the thoughts I have for you, says
the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and
peace, and not for evil, to give you hope in
          the final outcome.

Jesus healed the lame. He did not criticize them for their lameness. He offered
love, compassion and mercy. He loved the publicans and sinners. He ate with
them and hung out with them sometimes. He did not act like them, but he showed them
the way, the truth and the life. He was an example. Any one that wanted to,
could follow. He rejected no one, not even Judus. Not even the possessed guy who
cut himself either. He reached out and loved him and healed him too.

     Psalm 140:12

I know that the LORD will maintain the cause
of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.

He does not reject people like people reject people. We are all one in Christ.
You and I are brothers and sisters regardless of our gifts, callings, backgrounds,
clothes, interests, hobbies, social status, weaknesses and strengths. Let's see the
Christ in each other and reach out to those who we are tempted to classify as unworthy,
lame or unacceptable by the world's standards. Lets walk in love without being a
respecter or rejecter of persons. Amen.
