JESUS CHRIST:
     The Foundation of Our Faith

     THE LAW & CURSES
                    vs.
     FAITH & BLESSINGS

Grace by faith is a subject that is repeated over and over again in each church
epistle in the New Testament of God's Word. God wants this clear: You are beloved,
you are saved by faith, it is grace, a gift of God, you are delivered from the bondage
of The Law unto right standing with God. You ARE righteous and justified, not by the
works you do or don't do, but by the grace of God. When we chose life in Christ, we
received a free gift and we were blessed beyond measure!

In case we missed it, in Galatians, God puts this another way: Were you saved by the
works of the Law or after you heard the Word in faith? Can you perfect yourself by the
works of the Law? No? If you want to live under the Law, then cursed is everyone who
does not continue to live by The Law.

     Galatians 3:2

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit
by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

     BY THE HEARING OF FAITH.

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are
ye now made perfect by the flesh?

     NO.

4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet
          in vain.

Have you forgotten what it is like to be under the bondage of the Law? Have you forgotten
the freedom you have enjoyed in Jesus Christ and the truth of the gospel?

5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and
worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works
of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

If you think you have to be some perfect spiritual guru or top leader in your
fellowship or church group to be able to perform miracles, you have put yourself
under The Law. People who lead others into the baptism of the holy spirit, who lead others
to speak in tongues and manifest the power of God, do it by faith after they hear the Word.

We do not "earn the right" to be a minister of the Lord Jesus Christ by perfecting the flesh, by living under the law. We are ministers of the Lord by faith and faith alone.

6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted
          to him for righteousness.

7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same
          are the children of Abraham.

8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the
heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto
Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

We are saved by grace through faith. We are blessed like Abraham. God promised Abraham
many blessings of prosperity, abundance, peace, His presence and more. We are blessed!

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse:
for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things
which are written in the book of the law to do them.

If you have ever tried to perform perfectly for someone else's approval of you, you
know what a curse it becomes to keep it up. It becomes a shackle. But this is not
what God is referring to. The Law specifically states that if any do not continue to
live under the Law, different curses of lack, illness, and destruction would come upon you.

Since we have been delivered from the curses of the Law, why would we willingly subject
     ourselves to them ever again?

It does not take a brain surgeon to see the differences between these two different
choices and which would be the better way to live! Yet, we as humans still need
reminded, "Dear, you did not get saved by the works of the Law, you cannot perfect
your flesh and do miracles by the law, and even if you could, you would be cursed
because no one can keep it up perfectly anyway!"

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,
it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall
          live in them.

13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made
a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth
          on a tree:

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles
through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the
          Spirit through faith.

God be thanked and praised for His love and blessings through the faith of Christ! We are
redeemed from the curse of the Law! Let's not try to go back and suffer under the Law again!

     Amen.
