JESUS CHRIST:
     The Foundation of our Faith

     LIBERTY! FREEDOM!

Jesus Christ set us free from the bondage of sin. He gave us the freedom to live as sons
and daughters of God, in God's household, for all eternity. There is freedom in the truth.
There is bondage in the lies of the enemy and sin. If we will be in subjection to the truth,
we shall be free indeed BUT ONLY IF we continue in the truth of the gospel.

     John 8:31

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed
on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye
          my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
          shall make you free.

Continuing in the Word will make us free because it is only by knowing the
Word that we will know the truth. God's Word is truth.

33 They answered him, We be Abraham's seed,
and were never in bondage to any man: how
sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

As American citizens, we can understand this. We never had to live
enslaved to any one. We were free born too. Then we are already free, aren't we?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the
          servant of sin.

We used to be servants of sin and enslaved to it. But Christ came to free us
from sin. Now we can be servants of righteousness instead! [Romans 6:18]

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for
ever: but the Son abideth ever.

Servants can be dismissed. Servants can be confined anywhere the master
wants to put them. Sin confines people where satan wants to bind them.

But the Son has access to the master's house always. He will never be dismissed,
disowned or disinherited. He can freely live there forever. This Son has made us
free from sin. We are no longer in bondage to it. We will live for all eternity in the
Master's House, (where there are many mansions), in which, Jesus has prepared for
     us a place. [John 14:2]

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye
          shall be free indeed.

Jesus Christ, God's Son, has made us free indeed in the gospel. But beware! There are those
who would like to put us back into bondage.

     Galatians 2:4

And that because of false brethren unawares
brought in, who came in privily to spy out
our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus,
that they might bring us into bondage:

5 To whom we gave place by subjection,
no, not for an hour; that the truth of the
          gospel might continue with you.

Do not come under subjection to any liberty stealers! AS SOON AS IT COMES UP,
RESIST THIS BONDAGE! Any one who wants you to come under the Law again,
with lists of rules and regulations to perfect your flesh, is a liberty
stealer. Anyone who wants to entice you to willfully sin is a liberty stealer
also. If you subject yourself to the liberty stealers, and allow yourself to be
brought into bondage again, then the truth will no longer set you free. To
stay free, you must continue in the truth. And the truth is what sets us free.

The Son set us free indeed for now until all eternity.

Let's continue in the truth and stay free. AMEN.
