GOD’S WORD DAILY

     VOLUME 1, ISSUE 131                                                             MARCH 11, 2002

JESUS CHRIST:
     The Foundation of Our Faith

     DELIVERED!

As God delivered and rescued the oppressed Children of Israel from the
Egyptians; just as God rescued and delivered Joseph from ALL his afflictions,
(from his brothers, from prison and from slavery); just as God delivered
Peter and Paul from the king's hand and from evil people who desired to
destroy them, so God too, will deliver us from this present evil world through
     Christ Jesus our Lord.

     Galatians 1:4

Who gave himself for our sins, that he might
deliver us from this present evil world, according
to the will of God and our Father:

5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Jesus gave himself for us so that we might be delivered from this PRESENT
evil world. We have been rescued from the world at hand NOW. I think
we all understand that when Jesus Christ returns, we will be rescued
and delivered from the world and the state we are in, in the future. Let's
not overlook the truth: we are delivered from this evil world NOW.

To stand in the peace of Christ and trust God
for our promised deliverance is
entirely up to you and me.

We can either look to God and put our total trust in Him when things are
difficult, or we can have hissy fits and temper tantrums, and we can
give up and wallow in self-pity during our afflictions.

What satan means for our evil and for our destruction, God will turn
around for our good.[Romans 8:24] Please do not give up. Faint
not in the day of adversity.

What would have happened if Joseph allowed himself to wallow in self-pity
and bitterness when he was in the pit in the ground, betrayed and rejected
by his brothers' hands? He would not have been promoted to Pharoah's right hand,
to be in the position to save the children of Israel from starvation during the
famine! Perhaps the Christ line would have been destroyed!

Joseph's deliverance took time. And then, just when things appeared
to be getting better for him, WHAMMY!!! Satan would slam him with something
else! But during the pit time, the prison time, the slavery time, and
through ALL his afflictions, Joseph remained faithful to God. He put his
trust in God, he stayed in fellowship with God, he had integrity, patience,
and persistance. NO MATTER WHAT AFFLICTION HE HAD TO ENDURE,
Joseph stayed consistant with God. THEN GOD TURNED IT ALL AROUND
     FOR JOSEPH'S GOOD.

It is written, "Our light affliction is but for a moment." [ 2 Cor. 4:17]

"You will reap in due season if you faint not." [Galatians 6:9]

"…in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."
      [Romans 8:37]

We are delivered through Christ. Let us trust God faithfully through all our
afflictions in this present time. AMEN.
