JESUS CHRIST:      The Foundation of our Faith      THE ROCK!        I Cor.10:4           ...and that Rock was Christ.        Depending on each of our own believing or disobedience, Jesus Christ is      either the strength of our foundation, or the stone of our stumbling. He is      either the bedrock of our faith or the rock that we butt our heads against      every time we willfully sin against God. We either build our lives upon      the Rock Christ Jesus, or grind ourselves into powder against Him.      [Matt. 21:44]        I Peter 2:6-8           6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture,           Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect,           precious: and he that believeth on him shall not           be confounded [shamed, or disgraced].           Unto you therefore which believe Jesus is precious:           [valued, more honorable] but unto them which be           disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed,           the same is made the head of the corner,            8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence,           [snare, stumbling block,] even to them which stumble           [surge against like water; trip up] at the word, being           disobedient [willfully and perversely]: whereunto            also they were appointed.        The Rock, Christ Jesus, is precious to believers. A believer is someone who      hears, believes and lives the lifestyle Jesus taught. The more you      know about Jesus and what he accomplished, the more precious he becomes      to you. The more you dig into the Word and discover all He is and all you are      through Him, your foundation gets dug deeper. The more you prove the Truth,       the more confident in God you will become. With a solid, deep foundation like      this, you will stand and remain unmovable, no matter what comes against you.        Luke 6:48           He is like a man which built an house, and digged           deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when           the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon           that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded           upon a rock.        May Jesus be to each one of us the bedrock of our faith, an unmovable and      steady foundation, up on which we build our lives.
