JESUS CHRIST:      The Foundation of Our Faith      JESUS IS LORD        God made Jesus Lord. He was a small town, mountain man, The King of Kings,      who started life in a humble manner, born in a manger. He is the one who was      rejected, betrayed, beaten, whipped, humiliated, scourged, pierced, bruised, tortured      and mocked. He was made the laughing stock of men. But God made this man both      Lord and Christ!        Acts 2:36           Therefore let all the house of Israel know           assuredly, that God hath made that same           Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord           and Christ.        Acts 4:33           And with great power gave the apostles           witness of the resurrection of the Lord           Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.        Romans 14:9           For to this end Christ both died, and rose,           and revived, that he might be Lord...        I Thess.5:9           For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but           to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,           10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or           sleep, we should live together with him.        Rev.19:16           And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a           name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD           OF LORDS.        Jesus took on the sins of the world, even though he himself knew no sin. Through Jesus      our Lord, we have salvation. We have forgiveness. We have power. We have great      grace. We have peace. We have eternal life. We have been given numerous other benefits, both      now and for all eternity, because Jesus is both Lord [supreme, has dominion] and Christ       [anointed, Messiah]! Amen.      -Carol Kenreigh
