WORD OF THE DAY:

     JESUS CHRIST:
     THE FOUNDATION OF OUR FAITH

 

     Up on what do we, as Christians, begin building our faith? According to the Scriptures, our
     foundation is already laid. Jesus Christ is our foundation.He is the Rock on whom we build our
     faith, upon whom we build the church, the one body of Christ, by whom we stand firm and faithful
     throughout all of life's storms, through whom we have won every victory!

 

          1 Corinthians 3: 11

          For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid,
          which is Jesus Christ.

 

     The Apostle Paul laid out for us the foundation. He taught first that Jesus was crucified, died for
     our sins and was risen from the dead on the third day, and that we are saved by grace through
     faith[1 Cor.15:3, 4, 10]. He taught this over and over again, as recorded in the Book of Acts. He
     preached Jesus Christ and Him crucified to every one, everywhere he went. He taught we are all
     saved by the grace of God through faith of Jesus Christ. [Ephesians 2:4-9] This is the foundation
     on which the whole church, the one body of Christ is built. [Matthew 16:18]

     Let us continue to build upon this foundation, the Rock, Christ Jesus, by being faithful doers and
     not hearers only. [1 Cor. 10:4].

 

          Luke 6:48, 49

          He [that does the Word]is like a man which built an house,
          and digged deep and laid the foundation on a rock: and when
          the flood arose the stream beat vehemently upon that house,
          and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

          But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without
          a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the
          stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the
          ruin of that house was great.

 

     The reason we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us is because He is The Rock.
     we have the victory through Christ. We are more than conquerors through Christ. When the
     storms of doubt come against us, WHEN THE ADVERSARY ROARS AS A LION AGAINST
     US, WE STAND FIRM AND TALL ON JESUS CHRIST, the Rock, who is the foundation of
     our faith. We will not be moved. Our faith is founded up on an immoveable rock
     and all the gates of hell shall never prevail against it. Amen.
