HOW JESUS LOVED, Part 4,
     WORD OF THE DAY: "FORGIVE"
     
Yesterday, our phrase of the day was "love your enemies." Today, we will
"Forgive" =" to send forth, in various applications (as follow):
Psalm 103:12
     "As far as the east is from the west, so far
Send away those trespasses like God sent away yours.
Luke 23:34
     "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them;
If anyone had cause to be ticked off, bitter and hateful toward his or her enemies,
Matthew 18:21, 22 (then see verses 23-35)
     "Then came Peter to him, and said,
     Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven
It doesn't matter how often someone trespasses against us. We are to forgive each time.
If I am in danger, I do not have to stick around and keep subjecting myself to it
Sometimes, I do not want to forgive someone. Especially if they keep doing
I am determined to forgive. I need God to help me overcome the trauma that was
Ephesians 4:32
     "And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
II Corinthians 2:7, 8, 11
     "So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him,
     Wherefore I beseech you that ye would
     Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we
Forgiveness holds no grudges. It does not punish someone over and over
Hebrews 12:15
     "Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God;
May we love as Jesus loved and forgive those who sin against us. Let us let go of the hurt,
look at a critical component required of us in order to love our enemies:
forgiveness.

     hath he removed our transgressions from us."

it was Jesus. He had endured hours of excruciating torture, and was strung
up on a crucifix to suffocate slowly, in a painful, agonizing death. Yet,
amidst all that pain, all that torment, and all that grief, Jesus chose to forgive!
What a man!
     Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against
     me, and I forgive him? till seven times?"
     times: but, Until seventy times seven."
in the name of forgiveness.
the same hurtful things over and over! Especially when the wounds cut so deep they
leave devastating emotional scars! It is a challenge! God did not tell us to do
something we are unable to do. We must be determined to overcome and forgive.

murdered him. I can forgive those who have tortured me and those who torment me.

betrayal and pain. Let us forgive others, just as God, for Christs's sake, has forgiven us.
Let us be strong in mercy, compassion and grace, lest the root of bitterness trouble us and
defile many. Let us confirm our love toward our brothers and sisters in Christ who sin. Let
us forgive them and comfort them. We are not ignorant of satan's divisive devices. Forgive. Amen.
