GOD'S WORD DAILY

VOLUME 1, ISSUE 65                                                                                                             SEPTEMBER 22, 2001

     WORD OF THE DAY:"CASTING ALL YOUR CARE"

Scripture reference: I Peter 5:7:

     " Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

Casting = "to throw upon."

Care = " (through the idea of distraction) solicitude, i.e. worry, care, unease, unquietness, anxiety, apprehension.

Careth =" Of interest to, concern for, it matters."

Throw upon Almighty God, all your care. You matter to God. He is interested in you. He is concerned about you. All the hairs of your head are numbered. You are continually before God's face. He wants to bless you! He desires you to be fruitful!

Left unattended, our cares, worries and concerns can blow up into huge distractions that will choke the Word from our life,resulting in unfruitfulness.

Matthew 13:22

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

It is best to humble ourselves under God Almighty's hand, and cast all our care upon Him. It is not by our own strength and ability and intelligence that we succeed ridding ourselves of the pesky sins and worries that weigh us down and distract us from the things of God.

Zec.4:6

This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

We need God, we need holy spirit to help us grow up into Christ in all things. Remain sober and vigilant and attend upon the Lord without distraction.Cast ALL your cares upon Him. He cares for you and wants to bless you. He promised to meet all your need. Trust your loving God with your cares, pour your heart out before Him.

Psalm 62:8

Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
