GOD’S WORD DAILY

     VOLUME 1, ISSUE 98                                                             NOVEMBER 12, 2001

WORD OF THE DAY:
     ALL BE DONE IN LOVE

Everything we do in word or deed, let all things, every single thing, be done with the love
of God. Our motivation is love. Love energizes believing.

     1Corinthians 16:14

Let all your things be done with charity.

The characteristics of the love of God are conveniently listed in 1 Corinthians 13.

     I Corinthians 13:4-8

Charity suffereth long, [patient] and is kind; charity
          envieth
[covets, is not jealous]not; charity vaunteth
[boasts, isn't rash] not itself, is not puffed up, [haughty]

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly[unbecomingly], seeketh not her
          own,
[not selfish] is not easily provoked [exasperated],
          thinketh no evil
[ Greek: kakos =worthless, depraved, injurious] ;

          6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity [injustice, wrongfulness], but rejoiceth in the truth;

7 Beareth all things [puts a roof over, endures quietly],
          believeth all things, hopeth
[expects] all
          things, endureth
[remains, bears, perseveres] all things.

8 Charity never faileth...[becomes inefficient or of none effect]

     Galatians 5:6

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision
          avails
[Greek: ischuo = to have (or exercise) force]
any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which
          worketh
[Greek : energeo = to be active, efficient,
          is energized]
by love.

If we want power in our lives, power which exerts an impact and has an effect, if we want
to help more people, it takes walking in the love of God. The love of God energizes faith,
or believing. Without faith, we can receive no promise of God. Without faith, we cannot
move mountains. It is not in keeping the letter of the Law or in the perfection of
the flesh that energizes anyone's faith. It is the walk of love that does this. The love
walk inspires others to believe God too. Love expects them to.

Because love is not selfish, love gives.

When I receive unconditional love and respect from others, I want to be more loving and
kind in return. I am inspired by the love.

Let us do all things in the love of God. Love energizes believing. Love never fails. Amen.
