      WORD OF THE DAY:      Scripture references: I Corinthians 15:57, 58           " But thanks be to God, which giveth us the
          Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast,      Barne's Commentary has this to say about being stedfast and unmoveable and abounding      in the Lord's work:
     "Be ye steadfast....Seated, sedentary, (Robinson;) perhaps with an allusion to a statue,
     Unmoveable. Firm, fixed, stable, unmoved. This is probably a stronger expression than
     Always abounding in the work of the Lord. Always engaged in doing the will of God;
      The "work of the Lord" here means, that which the Lord requires; all the appropriate
     King David, the man after God's own heart, said this:
     Psalm 57:6, 7
          They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is
          My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will      Let us be steadfast and unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord! Whether      it is living our day to day lives in fellowship with Him or in helping others with the gospel      and winning others into the Body of Christ, let us not be talked out of our duty to fear      God and keep His commandments. Let our hearts be fixed upon God . Our work is never      in vain. Amen.
