GOD’S WORD DAILY

     VOLUME 1, ISSUE 105                                                             DECEMBER 12, 2001

WORD OF THE DAY:
     ACCESS

Some successful business people and administrators have an open door policy. That is,
people can come right in to their office, without an appointment, and they are warmly
welcomed. The door is always open to all. The visitor is not viewed as a nuisance or an
interruption, but is graciously received. One feels confident and bold. One feels important
and strong like an equal or a beloved friend. One cannot wait to go to an office with an
open door policy because it is a pleasant place to do business.

In contrast, there are other administrators whose doors are not only locked, but the
secretary will keep away any one who calls. Appointments are not only necessary, but
all callers are screened with suspicion and intensity before an appointment will even
be granted. Once an appointment is kept, they may be brief or abrupt. One feels coolness
from the secretary and the administrator and is made to feel very much like an intruder.
The administrator may even use intimidation tactics to make visitors feel worthless and
inadequate in order to maintain power over the subordinates. These kinds of offices are
     grievous places to do business.

Our God has an open door policy toward His people.

      Eph 2:18

For through him [Jesus Christ] we both have access by
          one Spirit unto the Father.

We have access to God via the holy spirit. We have a direct spiritual connection to God.
We have been granted admission into the Father's presence. Not because we earned
the right to do so with our talents, abilities, or good works, but only because
we believed Jesus is the way, the truth and the life [ John 14:6] and accepted him
as our Lord and Savior [Romans 10:9,10].

     Romans 5:2

By whom [Jesus Christ] also we have access by faith
into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope
          of the glory of God.

No man can come to the Father except through Jesus .Now we have access to God,
through Jesus Christ, into this grace we stand in. We have the hope of Jesus'
return, when we will see God in all His glory! Therefore we rejoice now!

     Ephesians 3:12

In whom [Jesus Christ] we have boldness and access
with confidence by the faith of him.

We do not need to grovel at the feet of God for an audience with Him. Jesus Christ
is our mediator and he makes intercession for us. We have boldness because we are
righteous through Him. We are worthy through Him. We are justified through Him. We
are redeemed through Him. We are sanctified through Him. We are confident in
Christ because we did not earn salvation through ourselves. We were given
the free gift through the faith of Jesus Christ. We simply believed. It was
all given to us of God by grace through the faith of Jesus Christ!

Now we have access to the Father. We not only have access, but we have access
with confidence. That is a winning combination! Amen!
